Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site

The nomination of the Dolomites as a UNESCO World Heritage Site dates back to 26th June 2009.

Recognised worldwide as one of the most beautiful panoramas in the world, the Dolomites present a landscapecriss-crossed by imposing peaks. One of the features that characterises the Dolomites is the phenomenon of the Enrosadira: at sunrise and sunset, the sunlight gives the Dolomite peaks a reddish colour that tends towards purple.

The territory of the Dolomites boasts many traditions that are closely linked to ancient customs that have been passed down from generation to generation. Of particular interest is the presence of the Ladin language alongside German and Italian.

The Dolomites are a varied and extraordinary area that attracts millions of tourists every year. The most beautiful places in the world await you, where nature gives its best.
