The Sellaronda:
breathtaking route in Alta Badia
The Sellaronda is a route that stretches for 40 km through forests, rocky areas and wide expanses of snow. Also known as the ‘giro dei quattro passi’, the Sella Ronda passes through Alta Badia, Val Gardena, Val di Fassa and Livinallongo and crosses the provinces of Bolzano, Trento and Belluno.
Experienced skiers can enjoy themselves on the more challenging slopes, such as the Gran Risa, but there are also numerous routes for less experienced skiers.
The Sella Ronda can be travelled clockwise (from Alta Badia towards Arabba) or counter clockwise (from Alta Badia towards Val Gardena).
Numerous events take place along this route. In summer and winter, you can admire the beauty of the landscape while taking part in breathtaking races!

Sellaronda Bike Day
In summer, you will have the opportunity to experience an unforgettable adventure on a bike. Every year in June, the Sellaronda Bike Day awaits you: a non-competitive cycling event open to all.
On the Saturday of Sellaronda Bike Day, the tour over the passes around the Sella Group is closed to traffic and reserved for two-wheeled enthusiasts. Each participant leaves the village he or she wishes and there is no limit: everyone can pedal for as long as he or she feels like it. All vehicles on two wheels are permitted: bicycles, mountain bikes, tandems, unicycles and much more.
This gives you the opportunity to admire the panoramic views of the Dolomites and rediscover the pleasure of cycling in nature.
Sellaronda Ski Marathon
During the winter season, the Sellaronda Ski Marathon, the ski touring competition at night, awaits you.
Due to its technical complexity, the race is reserved for experts in this discipline. Teams of two people will compete on a 42 km route along the 4 passes of the Sella in the Ladin Dolomites.
The participants will be equipped with sealskins to tackle the climbs and faceplates to light up the route. The arrival and departure country varies each year between the 4 major countries of Corvara, Selva, Canazei and Arabba. Anyone who wants to relax and watch the race can follow the race live. In addition, there will be numerous activities in the arrival town to pass the time until the athletes arrive.
